Air Mauritius connects the small island of Mauritius, just east of Madagascar and French-held Reunion Island, to several destinations throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Air Mauritius is a full-service airline with 12 planes in their fleet, though there are standing orders for additional Airbus jets. Air Mauritius offers flights to 20 international destinations from Europe to Asia and Africa. As a member of the Indian Ocean Commission, Air Mauritius has entered into an informal alliance with partners Air Austral, Air Madagascar, Air Seychelles, and Inter Ile Air, in addition to its formal code-sharing partnerships with airlines such as Air France, Emirates, Virgin Australia, Malaysia Airlines, and South Africa Airways.
