About United Airlines

The world's largest airline by several metrics, United Airlines is one of America's most prominent major carrier. United's gargantuan fleet of 720 planes is one of the largest in the world, put to task with full-service flights to 375 destinations around the globe. A founding member of the Star Alliance, United operates flights under the United Express brand, and maintains code-share partnerships with smaller airlines outside of its network such as Hawaiian Airlines, Jet Airways, Germanwings, Aer Lingus, and several others.

The seats do not recline, period. No leg room. Seats of passengers in front of you do recline, making it difficult for anyone to even stay seated. Seats are placed in front of lavatories. Not only is sleep deprivation a form of torture in a 12 hour flight, but it’s an especially unsanitary situation during a worldwide pandemic of an airborne virus. These conditions are especially bad for someone with a heart condition like myself. I was told there was no chance of a seat change. I can understand that airlines try to optimize and squeeze in as many people as possible to increase revenue, but it’s an embarrassment for an airline that operates in the US to even have seats like these where humans will be crammed into for 12 hours. The connecting flight was late and this 12 flight was late as well. Great space for secured inanimate objects to be placed in, just not apt for human use. You shouldn’t have to be extremely wealthy to afford upgrades just to be able to sleep in a long international flight.

Sit here as a last resort. Heavy scent of deodorizer/chemicals to coverup bathroom odors. Also there is a constant flux of passengers using the latrine.

This seat is next to a dogleg from first class to economy, and passenger will be bumped by people and luggage walking by. It also has no seat pocket ahead and no underseat storage.

United has a great first class but the 767-400 is letting the fleet down. They could do much better. But all in all it’s an okay product for a cross country trip but definitely not international flights.

United express has some great aircraft and one of them is the E-175 aircraft. I flew on republic airways and Even though the cabin was out dated, the service and catering was awesome! I bet in a post pandemic world we will be able to see United express really shine!
