The seats do not recline, period. No leg room. Seats of passengers in front of you do recline, making it difficult for anyone to even stay seated. Seats are placed in front of lavatories. Not only is sleep deprivation a form of torture in a 12 hour flight, but it’s an especially unsanitary situation during a worldwide pandemic of an airborne virus. These conditions are especially bad for someone with a heart condition like myself. I was told there was no chance of a seat change. I can understand that airlines try to optimize and squeeze in as many people as possible to increase revenue, but it’s an embarrassment for an airline that operates in the US to even have seats like these where humans will be crammed into for 12 hours. The connecting flight was late and this 12 flight was late as well. Great space for secured inanimate objects to be placed in, just not apt for human use. You shouldn’t have to be extremely wealthy to afford upgrades just to be able to sleep in a long international flight.

This seat is next to a dogleg from first class to economy, and passenger will be bumped by people and luggage walking by. It also has no seat pocket ahead and no underseat storage.

United express has some great aircraft and one of them is the E-175 aircraft. I flew on republic airways and Even though the cabin was out dated, the service and catering was awesome! I bet in a post pandemic world we will be able to see United express really shine!

I'd rather be crapping my brains out on the lav than be sitting in this seat. I love United, but back in 2014 with the new leather seats and the lav that sounds like a Concorde every time someone uses it, I'd rather be stuck in said lav than sit in this seat again. If you can, avoid being downgraded to an A319, and if not, just take the trip voucher. It'll save you far much more time and headache. If you are one of those people who enjoy torture, then row 35 is for you! If you value your sanity, do not sit here.
