Our picks: row 1 or rows 2-3. Avoid rows 4-8 due to obstructed view and engine noise.
Operated in Micronesia by Cape Air, the United ATR 42 runs regional island hops. Boarding is from the rear, so if you have a tight connection select your seat accordingly, otherwise the front of the aircraft will offer more space (row 1) and/or be more quiet. As with all ATR and high-wing twin engine turboprops, views are obstructed at window seats under the wing, and those seats also tend to be noisier.
